The receptionist are very rude, they always argue with you about an appointment they don’t let you speak or see the doctors, they try and offer out medication even though their not medically trained. Want to know every detail on why your calling and won’t accept a small brief of why. The surgery has gone so down hill your not even allowed a phone consultation only the receptionists emailing the doctor and telling you to go to the chemist. It is a waste of public money

Suggested improvements
New receptionists with compassion and no attitude. And allow the public to actually see and speak to the doctors

My husband and I were patients for five years and both received excellent care. The receptionists were always polite and helpful. Dr Quershi and her colleagues dealt with my many issues quickly and efficiently. It was great to have that feeling of security. I can’t thank you all enough. Sarah Hughes

Suggested improvements
I don’t think there was anything ! Keep it up

Had tonsillitis before lockdown and the receptionist would not give me an appointment. Ended up waking into Estury View. Caught tonsillitis again and filled in an econsult form, stating I was allergic to penicillin, so the Dr prescribed me penicillin!! Have still got a sore throat in fact the pain is worse and I have been told because I have recently moved, as in last week, I have to discuss my issue with my new Dr, which I don’t have yet. The practice is a complete waste of time!

Excellent service received. I had to self isolate during the recent “lockdown “and was feeling unwell., so I logged on to the website and filled in the detailed questionnaire, I sent the email quite late in the evening. The following morning at 09:30 I received a phone call from a receptionist to inform me that a prescription had been sent to my local chemist and advice was also given re collection if needed. (I could not submit this review without completing the section re was the surgery clean. Therefore I presumed that it was in keeping with the excellent standard of service!)

Ongoing health issues for 3 years. I joined this surgery August 2019 in the hopes of getting better healthcare and finally being listened to about the issues I've been and am still having. Instead, I have been spoken over and dismissed by several receptionists and my GP - Dr Malik. He refuses to see me or treat me even after another professional has requested it. For a basic test to be done, he had to be asked by two secondary care providers, myself, and then told by another care professional, only then did he finally put in a referral for the test. He believes that because I'm under the care of a secondary care provider (who he referred me to only because another doctor told him to) he no longer has the responsibility to treat me or see me for anything. Including a simple urine test, blood tests, etc. I have been told by other health professionals that it is highly unprofessional of him and that my healthcare is still his responsibility, as he is my primary health provider. I have been bounced back and forth between Dr Malik, out of hour GPs, A&E nurses, and more. I am highly disappointed with the level of care that Dr Malik provides, considering he has his own surgery. He got fed up with me constantly having appointments for the same thing, when he has done hardly anything for me because he has refused. And then when he finally (after several months of me and my partner asking him) referred me to a specialist, he wiped his hands of me. Obviously this isn't recorded on my medical record because it would make him look bad, but he actually said to me that anything from now on will be dealt with by the specialist team, and he will no longer be treating me. Fuming. The specialist team is there to treat me for two issues out of however many that he has ignored time and time again. I would not recommend anyone to be seen by Dr Malik at all! It is that bad, to the extent that he refused to even speak to me via telephone, so he got a receptionist to call me instead, who was incredibly rude and had no bedside manners whatsoever. I will be placing a complaint.
